Clyde`s Restaurant in Waynesville

Clyde is most definitely one of the best restaurants in Haywood county. You get a very large amount of food for a great price. I eat here about once a month and have never had a bad meal. The waitresses are always super friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend eating at this restaurant for breakfast lunch or dinner.

I enjoyed my meal although my daughters struggled to find something (that's almost everywhere). The reuben was delicious and my oldest had some excellent fried chicken.#travelformortals

Found this place because it was the only place open after a long day of skiing. Incredible find. HUGE portions. Incredible food. EXCEPTIONAL service. We feel like we hit the lotto finding this place. Our group of 9 (who came in 30 min before closing) was met with kind smiles, great atmosphere, and amazing food. Highly recommend.

The food and service were above my expectations. I truly enjoyed the vibes of this restaurant. Superb place to take my family out for dinner.

Their fried okra and lemon pie are some of the best I've ever eaten. I would happily stop here for both again.

Ate there about 2 months ago. Not a single person smiled, the bathrooms were really dirty (feces around toilet), and just about the same cooking you can get at home so overall just a very average place. The many reviews were misleading on the quality.

Excellent place to eat and a wonderful staff. The food I've gotten every time I've been has been amazing (club sandwich, salad, chicken tenders) and all of it is very reasonably priced. The waitress was aware and polite. Nice atmosphere, even the patrons seem nice.

Seen it for years but never tried it. What a mistake that was. Large servings, great food and an awesome staff. I have a new favorite.

I live in nearby Henderson County and can't believe I never knew about this place! Went for dinner on a Sunday and it was packed! However, I found a spot to sit down to wait for my order. Was greeted with a smile and a friendly voice. All the locals swear by it and by golly they were right. I had " chicken bites" with peppers and onions, okra, mac- n- cheese and broccoli n cheese. All I can say is better come hungry because they do not disappoint. Prices are reasonably fair considering the friendly staff, huge portions and awesome service you're getting. I will remain a repeat customer.

Great Mom & Pop's Diner! Roast beef and gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans and baby carrots. $7.99 Saturday special and well worth every dime! Highly recommended!

The service was good, the food was standard bland fare with little to no seasoning, obviously reheated prior to serving. We read great reviews, so expected great food. Dessert was a blackberry cobbler or an oreo pudding. Pick the pudding.

Use to love this place. Got potatoes salad about 2 weeks ago. It was horrible!!! Worst I ever eat, got their spaghetti. Huge mushrooms. I mean huge. I did not like their spaghetti either. Salad ok. Ranch is great,

Holy cow! I can’t believe this place has a 4.6 star average. The food tastes so much like hospital food that I thought we were going to get the Covid-19 virus just from eating it! Seriously, nasty instant mashed potatoes, super dry fried chicken, and just horrible spiced apples. Literally, one of the worst meals I’ve ever had!

This place is usually one of the best restaurants around! But my family's last visit wasn't no where as good as usual. I know they were kindly busy but the sever wouldn't slow down enough to let me finish my sentence to her. Food was great but not what we asked for.

Lots of options, burgers supposedly the best around wish that I had the chance to try one. Went later on Thursday night after driving from Georgia. We were told about the restaurant. I got a Reuben sandwich which was huge. It was very hot which was great. The bread was a bit soggy but still tasty rye bread. My fries were barely warm though. Two others got country steak and vegetables also hot. Okra was a bit soggy too. We were starving after not eating all day so the hot food was very welcome. We were going to try again Friday at lunch and Sunday morning for breakfast but it was so crowded. We couldn't find a place to park or anywhere inside to wait that would work for since one of our group uses a walker and can't stand for a long time. Very popular and very busy, hopefully we can get a chance to try again

Awesome place to eat. Everyone including the customers were friendly and helpful. Great food and plenty of it. Would have given it 5 🌟 but only one bathroom per gender for a pretty good size restaurant. Would still go back every chance I get.

Chicken had been prepared earlier and was very dry and just warm at 3pm. I was truly shocked because we've eaten there before and the food was very good.

Excellent place for comfort foodies. Country as it gets. Really enjoy coming here when I don't care about calories. The food is so good. Staff was excellent too.

The most consistently good restaurant in Haywood county, or even the entire surrounding area. It's usually very busy, but they do a great job of.keeping up with the pace. We love it and eat here often.

We really enjoyed the food. The staff was nice and helpful. It has good ole southern food the the mountain people and visitors alike love. I see why it has been there so long.

1st timer to Clyde's. Wanted to meet up with the family before most places start serving on Sunday morning and am sure glad we came here. Food, portion size, service and cleanliness were fantastic. We hung around after the meal was finished for a time and the server was very nice and didn't try and rush us out the door. Think we found a new favorite.

Clydes is really good. As locals we get there usually once a week sometimes even twice. A good menu with good fresh stuff. I keep there menu in the car these days. I prefer there chicken special but also like the club sandwich but pretty much everything is good. Plenty of sides to chose from. Even there max and cheese is 👍

Wish I had a Philly right now. Great place but the corona shut down there breakfast.....all around amazing

Clyde's Restaurant in Waynesville is a great place to get good southern comfort food. They have an extensive menu to choose from. The cheeseburgers are great, as well as the chef salad. Came to the mountains for some R&R got food from Cylde Greens restaurant it's been a while but even having to get our food to go with all this Covid stuff happening food was excellent and super fast and super friendly as always.

Me an my Husband really loves this place when we go visit home! They have the best in anything you choose you can’t go wrong! There sweet tea is great! The staff is beyond friendly with southern ways which I love because I’m from Canton NC! Great job with everything they do keep up the great job y’all al do! I highly recommend this place if you wanna eat anything there or first time there an wanna try REAL SOUTHERN FOOD AN PEOPLE!!

Just left Clyde's I had the cheese burger deluxe with lettuce, tomato, onion, bacon, pickles, mayo, mustard, ketchup, and jalapeno. It is like a really good homemade burger. The burger had good flavor and the bun held together well. I seen Clydes on an internet search on a list for the 10 best burgers in North Carolina. If you're in the area give clydes a try you'll be glad you did. Clydes has great atmosphere, great service, and great food. Clydes is the place where the home folks eat.

You will not find a better, country cooking, restaurant anywhere. Clyde's for breakfast is a must if you are in Waynesville NC. Great menu selection, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food is great and plentiful. Have to try the coconut meringue pie! Just an awesome food experience. And if you are lucky, Pam may be your server! Enjoy!!

The owner Brandon Green is very hospitable. He really cares about his customers. The wait staff are prompt, making sure your order is correct when brought to you. The food is down home cooking with specials each day of the week. It is always very good. They have people drive from many states just to eat there.

Lunch was delicious& speedy service!! We always stop by for the daily specials whenever we are in town.
